Jennifer Lawrence has admitted she was 'terrified' about stripping naked to play a Russian seductress in the espionage thriller Red Sparrow. The Oscar winner, 27, confessed she spent a sleepless night worrying about the 'nightmare' scene - but felt 'empowered' after finally doing it.
Her comments come after she lashed out at critics who slammed her for wearing a skimpy Versace dress in the freezing cold, insisting it was 'her choice' what she decided to wear.

The role struck a particular chord with her as she had avoided nudity since private photographs of her were hacked in 2014 and published online. 'It was really scary to say yes to the movie because I knew the only way to tell the story is if I agreed to really do the scenes and go full Monty,' she confessed.
'It took a while to say, "Yes". And the night before I didn't sleep at all and I was obviously really nervous because it is the actual nightmare of standing in front of a classroom naked.
